The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies into the community.
SASSA are going to be rendering expert services which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency claimed it is alarmed about the large variety of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The goal on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the higher variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This really is as a result here of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no absolutely functional office devoted to service the area on a daily basis. The company issue established for intervention activities a large influx of possible beneficiaries, which makes it complicated with the Workplace to attend to all people who check out a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more sources to allow the servicing of all clients and improve access to Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
